Lesson Objectives
- When to use hard and soft blocks
- What grits to use
- How to retain edge crispness
- How to remove the arris
This lesson will mainly focus on how to retain the shape of the box and it’s crisp edges, while also making it soft to touch. Find the balance between these is all up to personal preference.
For me, I choose to sand the entire box using 120, 180 and 240 grit. Then take the corners off using only 240 grit. This ensures that the corners are not overly rounded and still look like hard 90 edges. Yes still feel soft to touch due to that glorious 240 grit finish.
