Lesson Objectives
- How to plane the drawer sides flush
- How to prevent tearout and breakout
- How to achieve a piston fit
- How to diagnose tightness using friction and burnishing
The aim here is to achieve a piston fit drawer which is when the drawer can be operated with minimal friction, yet no wobble side to side. In this video, I teach the principles to achieve it, yet still fail to do so myself due to unforeseen circumstances (also known as my forgetfulness).
