Lesson Objectives
- How to size the drawer bottom
- What materials to use
- How to account for expansion and contraction
- How to fix the base in position
In this lesson, I show you how to fit the drawer bottom. While I chose to use solid cedar to do this, it’s perfectly acceptable to use plywood or MDF instead. In fact, it’s often easier in most cases as you do not need to account for movement. Additionally, you could easily line the drawer with felt or flocking if you wanted.
