Cutting the Pins

Lesson Objectives

In this video, I’m going to show you how to transfer the tails to the pins, as well as how to remove the waste in the sockets. Pay close attention to this one, there’s a few things that if done incorrectly, will cause incredibly annoying errors in later stages.

Series Summary

This 15 part series will teach you the processes involved in making a beautiful toolbox; because it’s about time we made something for ourselves for once!

This course builds on the basic skills learnt in the Dovetail Box Series and the Cabinet Series by introducing more intermediate skills into the equation such as mitred dovetails, tongue and groove joints, and separating a lid after glue-up. You’ll also begin learning how to use routers and router tables in a safe and effective manner.

What’s more, this design is incredibly easy to adapt to different scales to suit different applications.
